Walter Nebicher is a policeman and a computer specialist. Frustrated with being stuck in a computer room instead of out on the streets fighting crime, he created a hologram using everything he wanted to be in a policeman. This hologram is Automan, who has grown to far more than just a computer program. Together they fight crime on the streets of New York.
